Long time no post, I’ll be 24 soon and I have to admit that I miss blogging. Many things have changed in my life – for example the fact that I now have two nephews and a niece. I love them all so much, I’m so glad I was able to arrange my schedule to attend my youngest nephew’s christening this Sunday. Choosing a dress for the occasion was stressful until I traveled back to Paris and went shopping at Galeries Lafayette – Claudie Pierlot was literally the first shop I walked into there and this dress was waiting for me – 70% off, like me it names the birthday gifts I got myself (the other will be a donation to the charity I care about).
When I got to the checkout I noticed the sales clerk had her name on the necklace It was gold and so beautiful I kept admiring it. I’ve always been fascinated by bespoke jewelry, I think I made notes in my head like ” Get a name necklace ” way back when I was a teenager, somehow this item still doesn’t belong in my jewelry collection. I remember looking for a website about nine years ago (wow, I feel old just writing that!) and there wasn’t a suitable option as long as I can buy it nowby GetNameNecklace. As I was about to go to the party, my mom told me, “The back of the dress is exceptional, but” *sigh* “you could really use a simple but unique necklace in the front.” I knew she was right because I was just that in mind – a small rose gold necklace with the inscription “Mary”. So I’m thinking about maybe getting the name necklace and an infinity ring. For me, jewelry is the most personal item you have in your closet. Of course I love to tell a story about every single purchase I make, but it’s different when it’s a ring, bracelet or statement necklace. That’s probably because I don’t change jewelry that often when I change my outfit. So when I wear it every day, I feel more connected to it.Go here! What about you?
